The Chinese owl pigeons are named as such due to their resemblance with the owl because of their appearance. The Chinese owls exhibit a short beak and a rounded head and owing to the shortness of their beaks they are a failure when it comes to feeding their young ones. Because of this the young owl pigeons are usually given to other pigeons to be fed. They are medium sized birds with huge feather frills reaching all along to their legs and thighs. |
